Calling all chocolate lovers out there! Introducing to you the world’s best healthy chocolate lava cake. Imagine a chocolate cake that is not just a chocolate cake. Cut open the centre, and experience something magical. Gooey, melt-in-your-mouth, ultimate, chocolatey deliciousness that will just blow your mind. I had in mind to slice the cake in squares. but the cake itself was just so gooey and moist that it didn’t hold. But this made it even MORE delicious.
And the recipe is just so simple. I mean, this is the least complicated cake recipe that I’ve ever tried. It was so quick, and I literally made this in 10 minutes, tops. With minimal ingredients, this cake is the ultimate fastest, most delicious and chocolatiest (is that even a word? Let’s just pretend it is, for now.) chocolate lava cake recipe you can ever make! Oh, and did I mention it’s healthy?
With the creation of lower fat chocolate, chocolate lovers all around can look forward to low calorie chocolate bars! How cool? But of course, healthy chocolate lava cakes are way better.
This chocolate cake is the bomb diggity bomb ya’ll! I have been scouting far and wide (no jokes here people) for a healthy chocolate cake that tasted like chocolate. Actual chocolate, and not like powdered vegetables! (this can be problem with healthy/vegan cakes) But I’ve hit the jackpot with this one. I gave this chocolate lava cake to my family, and within seconds, it was completely devoured! And… no one realised that it was healthy. Everyone thought this cake was loaded with all the unhealthy stuff when in fact, it was loaded with so much goodness! Have your cake and eat it too 😉

I can’t get enough of this chocolate lava cake! I have been getting many requests from my family to make it again! So, now you can make it for your family, and I hope they will enjoy it as much as me and my family have! So, on to the recipe!
- 135g dark chocolate
- 85g coconut oil
- 1/4 cup agave (can sub for maple or stevia)
- 2 eggs and 2 egg yolks (for vegan option: you can sub 1 egg for 1 tbsp flaxmeal and 3 tbsp water)
- 45g flour (you can use any kind)
- Melt chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave and mix, do not let it boil.
- In a seperate bowl, mix eggs (or egg substitutes) and agave.
- Combine two mixtures together, and add in flour.
- Stir till well combined.
- Make sure your baking tin (or ramekins) are well buttered, and add the batter in.
- Bake for 9 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
- Enjoy the chocolatey goodness!
